Luis Moreno
Luis Moreno is a supply chain planning and materials management professional with 20 years of experience. He has regional and global leadership experience in large and complex businesses driving process standardization, and customer service level and inventory turns performance improvements. Selected areas of specialization include S&OP, Inventory Strategy and Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Materials Planning, Materials Organization and Talent Assessment, Lean Six Sigma, Advance Planning systems, and ERP system optimization. His experience spans a diverse set of businesses in the CPG, Chemical and Paper, High Technology, and Industrial segments, with assignments in North and South America, Europe, India, China, and New Zealand.
Luis' past experience includes roles as Director of S&OP and Director of Inventory and Materials Management at Ingersoll Rand, and Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. As Director of S&OP he led the launch and implementation of an integrated global S&OP process across 19 plants, 4 DCs, and 4 Business Units with over $2B in total revenue, resulting in improved organizational alignment, on time delivery, and inventory turns. As Director of Inventory and Materials Management, he lead the implementation of best practice standard materials planning processes across 5 plants and 1 DC, resulting in significant improvements in Inventory Turns and On Time Delivery. As Principal Consultant, he oversaw and led staff in the implementation of Factory Scheduling, Supply Chain Planning, and ERP system technologies to enable process capability and metric improvements for several clients.
He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees both in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. Luis is APICS CPIM and fluent in Spanish. Luis has served as a Big as part of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Charlotte, and as volunteer at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte.
